HP Laserjet 4300: Error 10.00.00 SUPPLIES MEMORY ERROR
The printer is unable to read the
electronic information (e-label) on
the print cartridge so that the
printer can keep track of the page
count for the print cartridge.
- Open the top cover, remove the print cartridge, and reinstall it.
- Install a new HP print cartridge.
- Check the connection between the DC controller PCA
(location J97) and the memory chip on the print cartridge (location J600). - Replace the memory chip cable and contact assembly.
- Replace the DC controller PCA.
If you get paper dust between the cartridge contacts and the printer itself, you can get this error too, so clean the little metal tabs on the end of the cartridge.
Error:
10.00.00
10.00.10
How to reset the maintenance count on an HP LaserJet 4300
If the display panel on your HP LaserJet reads “perform printer maintenance”, “perform user maintenance”, or anything along those lines it means your printer needs a preventative maintenance kit. Failure to do so can mean more down time. To clear the error here are the steps. ( I still recommend installing the kit.)
- Turn the printer off.
- hold down the check mark button as you turn the power on
- Continue to hold down the check mark (Select) button until all three LED are illuminated.
- Release the check mark (Select) button.
- Press the up arrow (Navigation) button until the message New Maintenance Kit appears on the control panel display.
- Press the checkmark button once.
- A message New Maintenance will appear in the control panel display and the printer will reset.
This is done by the tech after installing a maintenance kit to tell the computer inside your printer that it has been installed.
This is possibly my favorite product of the year.
This is on my top ten list for Gadget of the Year. The Cradlepoint PHS300 Personal Hotspot creates a fully portable hotspot using your broadband-enabled cell phone or data card. In English, that means if you have a Sprint or Verizon (or any comparable brand) card that goes in your computer and gives you internet access, you can now share that access to a group of your closest friends and coworkers, and do it while you are on the move. I tested it with my buddy’s data card, and it worked seamlessly. Not only did he not see any slowdown on his side, I was able to get my email, surf the web and generally work as if I had my own card plugged in. Plus, it’s secure. We tested the mobility by taking a drive with our laptops (obviously have to ride in the same car) and the Cradlepoint worked great. Perfect for sharing a connection while on the road (camping or giving a presentation to coworkers).

Cool coolers for a hot laptops.
These days, laptops aren’t just something you use when you’re not at your desk. And, while they’ve come a long way from even a couple of years ago, laptops are still hard on your neck and back, and they have chronic problems with overheating. Solve both of those problems with the Cricket Laptop Stand What I like so much about this gadget is the fact that it’s tiny and light (it’s won several design awards) and yet allows for adjusting any size laptop to any height. It supports laptops up to 12 pounds. It also solves the pesky problem of overheating.
How to share a printer.
